The first unit of light troops in my French Army are the Chasseurs
de Fischer. They were established in 1743 by a former officer's
valet who made a reputation for himself guiding other valets in
and out of the islands of the Moldau River.
The unusual cap worn by these troops is called a mirleton. The
officer wears a fur trimmed jacket (this is how he is modelled by
Front Rank, but I believe the fur trim was worn by another light
troop unit, the Arquebusiers de Grassin, not the Chasseurs de Fischer,
so this might not be strictly accurate).
